Kiku lime sulfur (Sulphur) is used to bleach or whiten deadwood on a jin or shari on bonsai.  It also helps preserve the deadwood.  This process is very common on junipers along with several other species that feature deadwood.

NOTE:  This product will ship UPS ONLY.  Please do not choose USPS at checkout.  If USPS is chosen it will delay the order and we may need to collect additional shipping prior to sending the order.

How to use:
This process is best to do when it is the hottest time of year.

1.  Put on protective gloves and googles to keep lime sulfur off of skin and out of eyes.  An N95 particulate mask is also recommended.

2.  Moisten or wet deadwood 1 hour prior to applying.  The object is to let the water saturate the deadwood which will allow the lime sulfur to easily enter the deadwood.

3.  Dilute lime sulfur as desired with water.  This lime sulfur is a concentrate, but has been used without diluting.  I usually do 50/50

4.  Apply lime sulfur with a short, stiff bristle brush (nylon works best).

5.  Avoid getting lime sulfur on anything other than deadwood.  Lime sulfur will remove the color from most things.

6.  Reapply as needed after drying.

Plants & Tree Shipping:
We ship bonsai trees and plants from either our parnter nursery or our in house nursery depending on the tree.  We may limit when we ship trees to help limit their exposure to extreme environments.  For example we may not ship if it will cause the tree to sit in a truck over a weekend or holiday in very low temperatures or very high temps.

If we are shipping from our Harrisburg, PA location, the tree may arrive via any carrier, but usually UPS or USPS.  Time in transit will be 1-2 days in the northeast, 2-3 days in the southeast, 3-4 days in the midwest and usually 5 days for the west coast.

Trees are shipped in custom boxes made just for shipping trees.  Sometimes we wrap the pot and soil in plastic to prevent it from spilling out in transit.  Many times we use packing peanuts as they have proven to be very reliable in keeping trees safe in shipping.  If a box is noticiably damaged, please take pictures prior to opening.

Please Note:  We do not ship plants and trees to California
