We are seeking a shipping guru (clerk) for our Harrisburg, PA warehouse. This position plays an essential role in making sure that all customers receive their orders correctly and in a timely manner. They're also responsible for reviewing, pulling, and packaging outgoing shipments and processing incoming shipments.
To be a successful shipping clerk, you should be comfortable working in a warehouse environment. You must have excellent customer service skills and be able to multi-task. A sense of urgency and the willingness to solve customer issues is a must.
Shipping Guru Responsibilities
- Ensure all shipments are correctly labeled and packaged to arrive safely
- Alert management to shortages in shipping supplies
- Assist customers with any shipping issues and complaints that arise
- Verify all incoming shipments for accuracy and ensure all goods are in acceptable condition
- Work with other shipping clerks to review invoices, pull and package products, and correctly label outgoing packages
- Assists with in-person checkout
- Distributes incoming packages and mail to the correct department
- Other duties as assigned which could include tasks from any department
Shipping Guru Requirements
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- High energy, self-motivated
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Good organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Good time management skills and ability to work with limited supervision
- Professional and courteous demeanor
- Strong computer skills
- Responsible and punctual
- Familiarity with POS, Shopify, and/or ShipStation a plus
- Ability to work in the heat and/or cold
Location: Harrisburg, PA
Compensation: $13/hour
Reports to: Dalton Osborn (Shipping Manager)
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt with occasional evening, holiday, and weekend
