Use during the growing season for the type of tree you are growing. In the northeast we use this every other month from April till about October for conifers and deciduous trees. Did not get the very important “scoop” in either bag. The product went to my so who said it is great.
I believe this is working, I see a bit of green coming back in my Bonzi Tree , so the color is actually reversing from the pale yellow to a deeper color yellowish with a livht shade of green coming back. I'm very pleased to see colors coming back.

Is this fertilizer good for succulents as well? I am currently in the mist of transplanting a couple of snake plants from their nursery pots to ceramic pots but just want to make sure I am fully equipped for the process (First timer). I am also purchasing your bonsai and succulent "soil".
Yes this will work great for succulents. Please keep in mind that you will want to use much less than directed on the package. Succulents do not like excessive fertilizer. Start with less than you would think mixed in the soil then after a 45-60 days start light applications on top, replacing every 30-45 days.
How do you apply fertilizer on substrate? Is fertilizer even necessary when using substrate?
When you use substrate as soil, use the pellets and not the granular. The pellets stay on the surface and don't fall down through the pot like the granular will. Follow the directions on the bag.
You certainly do need fertilizer for substrated based soil as it normally has very little available nutrients.
I received my fertilizer today, and I note two different methods of application, one for inorganic and one for organic soil. Please explain the need for different application methods.
When you have organic soil there is no purpose to make piles. Organic soil holds fertilizer, inorganic holds very little. When using inorganic fertilizer, the fertilizer quickly is pulled through the soil with the water and is not retained. A larger amount of fertilizer in one area helps assure the roots below that area receive adequate fertilizer. This is also why the fertilizer piles are rotated around the pot to help cover the most roots possible.

When you measure the fertilizer with the scoop, is that a level scoopful or a heaping scoopful?
A level scoop would be the proper measurement. Sorry for the lack of clarity.
Do you have a prepare (low nitrogen) formula coming out soon?
We are trying to get this out. It is very difficult to make a natural based fertilizer with no or very low nitrogen. It seems every component you add has nitrogen that accumulates. We will keep working on it and get it out ASAP, but I do not have a timeline.
